Let me encourage all to express gratitude to those who are working at each event attended, volunteer to help ease the workload while there and get involved in the preparation process for future events. Some events require very little effort to set up and tear down while others require a significant crew to both set up and tear down the facilities.
There was a small army of individuals busy making certain each part of the event ran smoothly. Consider the events you participated in during this past year. We are a not for profit corporation operated by volunteers for the mutual benefit of all those who also pay to participate. and none of it for personal profit or benefit. Each event requires individuals to contribute hours of their time and resources to plan, arrange facilities, move equipment, travel, etc., etc., etc. Looking back to the multitude of caravans and rallies which took place during 2012 and forward to the Mid-Winter International Board of Trustees meeting, the Hobo Rally and many other caravans and rallies planned for this year, I am reminded of all the work that goes into making these events possible for our membership.
2 We awoke this morning to a beautiful blue sky, chilly temperatures and snow on the mountains, a wonderful beginning to the New Year.
